LTE Air Interface

Course Objectives:

LTE air interface aims to introduce engineers and radio planners to the LTE air interface principles of operation and functionality. The participants will understand the basic OFDM, MIMO, air interface functionality and RRM – Mobility principles in order to acquire a solid background on the LTE e-UTRAN functionality. The participants will learn the heart of LTE e-UTRAN operation which is the scheduler. By mastering the scheduler functionality, radio engineers will be able to understand the advantages and disadvantages of LTE functionality and fine-tune the scheduler to perform higher possible bit rates in the cellular environment.


Pre-Requisite for Participants:

LTE principles – overview is recommended
HSPA description is also recommended
