3G Access Network Transmission

Course Objectives:

This course will enable participants to:

  • Understand the transmission interface requirements (Iub) in 3G networks
  • Migrating from legacy transport network to 3G network using ATM and IP
  • Acquire advanced MW link planning knowledge in light of ITU-T Rec.
  • Achieve better spectral efficiency with improved frequency and capacity planning techniques
  • Able to derive a strategy for planning 3G BW requirements across MW


Pre-Requisite for Participants:

Knowledge of Microwave link planning. Participants should have attended the Telefocal course “Microwave transmission Engineering & Link planning”
